Overall:

This pad is lit I`ve seen lot of guys on Instagram using this pad so I decided to give it a try and I`m blown away with a possibilities this it has. I used some crappy alesis sample pad in the past and these two can be compared Roland is way better and it`s never happened that won`t play the sample like happened on a Alesis.

I don`t use a lot of long samples but I have some loops in the back and I`m using the metronome feature all the time I know many pads don`t have option for metronome to be heard only in your in your in ear monitors so that`s a big plus in this one.

I am using the KT10 Trigger pedal and it works perfectly as a combination I am really pleased with this bad and can`t wait to see see how the new new Roland pads will look in the future.

Overall:

I used the old SPD S for 5-year and just switch to the SPD SX. Although my old pad was pretty good and and served the purpose for years I must say this new one has usefu featuresl and it looks like they changed and added all the that was missing.

On the SPD S sometimes I wasn’t able to see pads while I`m playing a gig in the club. This new pad has cool lighting and I`m able to see all the pads at all times and also I clearly know which one is active. The feature I felt was missing on the old pad was a possibility to hear a metronome in my in-ears while the sample track is playing in front speakers.

It`s easy to get get used working on a bigger display also. It has lot more or preset sounds that I like cool dubstep stuff.  The build quality is very good but I didn`t expect that to change because the SDP S lasted until the very end.  I must say say that I sold my old so it didn`t break or anything I just wanted to get my hands on the new one.
