I love the size of the drum parts, especially floor toms and snare. Also, kick pedal is super responsive. I like that they are so customizable. Snare and toms are two-zoned and you can have 2 different sounds with them (just by adjusting the hardware), plus the module has a bunch of different samples and 54 onboard kits. Speaking of the module, there are other great options like loading your own samples and setting the sound for any pad, cymbal or pedal. I didn’t use this option as I was totally satisfied with their built in options.
Another great option is real time recording, which you don’t see every day in drums at this price.
If we speak about shortcomings I can’t say I didn`t like something in particular but I can’t say it’s the best drum in the world ofc. It’s kinda mid range if we speak about sound and hardware quality. But it has a great module with many different options which can be a plus if you like to experiment with sounds. It still doesn’t have a groundbreaking sound and quality so I think it could be cheaper.
It took me about 2 hours to set up the hardware which is ok I guess. But as there are so many ways you can set the sound of every part, change the volume, EQ, sensitivity and with about 600 different sample sounds which can be great but also confusing and at some point I honestly wished that I play on acoustics again because I fell into vortex of different options.. Maybe its just because I’m oldschool metalhead who likes to stick with the old sound and simplicity, I suppose this variety is good for someone. But anyway some options for customizing the sound I found very useful.
There was some kind of bug when I tried to use my own drum kit software.
Its possible that I fucked up something while instaling it but my hihat wasnt working properly. There was no sound from it when I hit it with pressed pedal. I could use only one sound on hihat and that was shit.
But otherwise this drum is not so bad. Its a good sturdy hardware and ofc mesh is great and very responsive. Just took me a while to get used to it.
