2019 DRUM THAT
I must disappoint you, I am using WP
Hi Ray, thanks for you comment, I couldn’t agree more. People search fro this terms and I as a owner of drum blog am here to help answer and explain if I want to get traffic. I think we agree there is obvious difference between hi end and entry series but Yes, from mid range to high end series its up to you. Series like AA and AAX usually have better value for money ratio.
Cheers,
Denis
Thanks Tom
Hi David, Given its age, it could potentially be of significant value, especially to collectors or musicians who appreciate vintage gear. Although I don’t know it’s value, here is what I would do if I was you:
1. Go to Ebay and see if people are selling anything similar.
2. Check out some musical stores. Many local music stores offer appraisal services for musical instruments and gear.
3. Contact Professional Appraisers. There are professionals who specialize in appraising musical instruments. While they might charge a fee, they can provide a detailed assessment of your cymbal’s value.
4. Vintage Drum Shops: Some shops specialize in vintage drums and cymbals. If there’s one near you, it might be worth a visit.
Hi David, thanks for the insights. Denis
Thanks Muzza, I will have that in mind. Cheers
Hi Jonathan, thanks for the comment YMSDIH, cheers.
Hi John, Thanks for commenting, although I used this pad only for sampling and metronome mostly, you should be able to by plugging in your external bass drum to on of the trigger inputs. After doing this, when hitting the bass drum you should be able to see the signal. If that works you are adding the sounds like for any other pad, the same goes for other settings. Hope this was helpful. Cheers, Denis
Thanks, Stan glad you like it. My setup is also mix of Sabian and Zildjian.
Pst 5 and later 8 came as a replacement for Alpha series. Cheers, Denis
Hi Dave, I see I am also subscribed to John’s YT channel. What I can see from his videos, he plays Zildjian Zonstantinople ride and crash (not sure if the cymbal on the left is a crash or a ride) and for hi hat he uses Zildjian K series, I saw he uses K hybrid series on some videos, I also seen he uses A series ride, it’s A medium ride to be precise. Hope this was helpful. Cheers
Thanks for the insights David, it’s great to have non-drummers here, Cheers! Denis
Hi Dellis, I am glad you find my content useful. Cheers
Sorry to hear that Alice, glad you like the article. Cheers, Denis

Hi Stella, in the old days’ bands rarely used headphones, instead stage monitors were in wide use. The drummer on the video is Keith Moon and I can only guess why he used headphones. it might be just his personal preference or he listened to a click track which is also a rare thing back in the day. It can just be that others liked stage monitors rather than headphones while this was not the case with Moon.
Hi Alice it’s a different game from drums, because of a lot that you don’t see it happens below (the feet work). Having a teacher it’s the best way to learn drums. Good luck with your journey!
Denis
Here is the article on that http://drumthat.com/what-do-drummers-listen/
Hello Ted, I took under consideration only the series currently made. Cheers
Hello Jojo, can you please check his discography on https://www.allmusic.com/ and see if he recorded more than these guys.
Hello Josh, thanks for commenting, the article will be updated each year since Meinl will be releasing new series and the Dual Classics Custom is one of them. Cheers
Thanks Vin, I am glad you like it. Cheers
Hi Terry, I suggest you try Sabin Big and Ugly series it is similar to the Zildjian Dry series or Meinl Byzance Extra Dry, Dark. If you are only looking for a ride that Byzance Vintage has a few options. Hope I gave you a few fresh ideas. Cheers
Paiste stop manufacturing Alpha, not sure why, great series though. As a replacement in that range with similar sound and price the came with pst 8.
Hi John, thanks for commenting, at the moment I am more behind my laptop writing but I hope in the future will get some time to cover this with videos. Cheers
Hi Rachel, glad to hear you find my article useful. Good luck in your drumming journey! Denis
Thanks, I appreciate it. Denis
Hi, Rich, thanks for the comment, the list is made by taking all the credits from allmusic.com, find Larry there and you’ll see numbers are correct.
Thanks for the heads-up, maybe we will expand this list. Cheers, Denis
Hey Josh, thank you for contributing. I think you might be right, I wrote this article over a year a go and now when I read it, I was to harsh to AA series. I will probably update that part. Denis
He is a true legend in the drumming community.
WIll check it out Roger and include him on a list if he has what it takes. Thanks for the heads up.
These numbers are from manual research on allmusic.com discography so for John there are more but these are not all singles but mostly albums.
Thanks for the heads up, according to our research Earl recorded around 84 albums but will definitely go through this once again.
We will make sure to go through Eddie’s discography and include him on a list if this is correct. Thanks
Hi Simon, we removed it here:
